NPR streams new R.E.M. record

Those wanting to check out the forthcoming album from American rock legends R.E.M., Collapse Into Now, can hear the entire album streaming through NPR's First Listen feature here.

The album is the band's 15th and its first since 2008's critically acclaimed Accelerate, which was hailed as a return to the band's rock roots after an experimental three-album stretch in the late '90s and early '00s.

Collapse hits stores Tuesday on the Warner Bros. label.
