I hope Maher won't mind if I steal his schtick for a moment.
New rule: You can't "reissue" albums that aren't even 10 years old. And, in the case of Captiol Records, I'm imposing a moratorium. (See Pitchfork news release.)
Seriously. Even though I saw it coming from so far away, I was using my naked eye from the Andromeda Galaxy, they need to stop coughing up an old Radiohead album every few months to try and make money off of it. Vinyl reissues. A box set of the entire catalog (sans In Rainbows). And now these "deluxe edition" re-releases. Not to mention the fact that they original albums are still in print. (Edit: Oh, and I forgot the vile greatest hits packages. And its companion DVD set of the music videos.)
Hey, Capitol — Radiohead jumped ship. You didn't benefit. Stop trying to milk a dry cow and, in the words of OK Go, "get-get-get-get get over it, hey!"
I guess I shouldn't expect any less from a label that should've been named Capital.
