It's an idea so bizarre, it just might work.
Chris Cornell you know, the cat with the soaring voice and the big range from Soundgarden, Audioslave and Temple of the Dog teams up with Timbaland you know, Timbaland for his third solo album.
So, a distinctive voice a keen asset when moving into a medium where more importance is placed on vocal performance works with one of the most famed R&B producers of his time. It's just crazy enough that it might work.
Hindsight being 20/20, one now looks at Cornell's interpretation of Michael Jackson's "Billy Jean" on his last record as a hint to this new direction rather than a goofy experiment that panned out for "American Idol" winner David Cook.
The record is Cornell's third solo platter for Interscope.
