So, I'm at the record store Friday night, flipping through some choice sides under the anonymous Bs in vinyl cos I was looking for Devendra Banhart's Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon.
That's when I came across Jimmy Buffett's 1979 live album, You Had to Be There. As I'm looking at the picture, I'm thinking, "I know it says Buffett, but he looks just like Jason Lee in this photo." In order to prove it to people, I broke out my camera phone, held up the record, and snapped the shot you see at left.
On the right, we have a photograph of Mr. Lee, whose hair is a little less shaggy, but sports a remarkably similar beard and nose shape. Buffett's a little bit more clean shaven, too.
Were Jimmy Buffett and Jason Lee separated at birth by 24 years? You make the call!
