The Loss I grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana, watching my mother take care of four children of which I am the oldest. There was three brothers and I of course was the only girl. My mother worked hard never letting us know how tired she was, never letting us know the hardship of bringing up four children in the south as a single parent.
She taught us to love one another and others. Our greatest activity was going to church. We learned to treat others as we wanted to be treated.
We learn to appreciate people as we mature in this life. I appreciate my mother and all she has done for me. I graduated from high school and later went to college where I received a degree in theology. Now I am trying to master a degree in Biblical counseling.
