Picking up chronologically where the first installment of The Bootleg Series left off, Tell Tale Signs culls live songs and unreleased tracks from his career from 1989's exemplary Oh Mercy through 2006's Modern Times. Oddly, though Under the Red Sky, Good As I Been to You, and "Love and Theft" were recorded during this time, but no tracks from these sessions are included.
While National Public Radio is streaming the two discs for free, a three-disc edition with a booklet and 7-inch vinyl single fetches $130. Pick your poison, Dylan freaks.
